The Web Configurator Service(WCS) offers both a stateless and a stateful service. Both services require similar connection properties and offer similar methods for interacting with the WCS.
IWebConfig Interface (Stateful Service)
The IWebConfig interface is the primary interface used to interact with the Web Configurator Service in a stateful manner. This interface implements IDisposable, so your application should properly dispose of the object when done.
By default, when using the Contracts Service Client, the WSHttpBinding will be used.
For a list of included methods and their definitions, see IWebConfig Methods.
WebConfigStatelessOperations Interface (Stateless Service)
The IWebConfigStatelessOperations interface is the primary interface used to interact with the Web Configurator Service in a stateless manner. Operations on this interface are atomic and establish no persistent connection. The stateless operations provide a means to issue a single request to the server for processing and will return a result when completed. Subsequent requests will effectively be performed separately and distinctly from previous requests.
By default, when using the Contracts Service Client, the BasicHttpBinding will be used.
